Where the practitioner considers that a client's symptoms require conventional medical assessment, investigation, emergency care or another service outside the scope of the consultation, the client may be advised to contact an appropriate healthcare professional or medical service.

Natural Healing Center reserves the right to decline, postpone or discontinue a complementary consultation where the practitioner considers that the service is inappropriate or that medical assessment should take priority.

3. Bookings

Once an electronic, written or verbal booking has been accepted by Natural Healing Center®, the client enters into an agreement for the booked service subject to these Terms & Conditions.

Clients are responsible for providing accurate and relevant information when booking and during consultations.

For online consultations, clients are responsible for ensuring that they have an appropriate internet connection, compatible device and suitable private environment for the consultation.

4. Payment

Payment terms applicable to the particular service will be communicated at the time of booking.

In-person sessions are payable in accordance with the payment arrangements specified when the appointment is booked.

Online consultations and online programmes must be paid for before the consultation or programme begins unless otherwise agreed in writing.

Where a treatment or programme package is purchased, payment is due according to the terms presented at the time of purchase.

Unless otherwise stated:

  • Packages are intended to be completed within the specified programme or treatment period.

  • Clients are encouraged to schedule required appointments in advance.

  • Unused sessions expire six months after the first treatment/session unless different programme terms have been expressly agreed.

  • Unused sessions cannot normally be exchanged for cash.

5. Cancellation and Missed Appointments

Unless different cancellation terms are stated when booking:

Less than 24 hours' notice: the full consultation/session fee may become payable.

For prepaid programmes or packages, a missed session may be deducted from the package.

Clients arriving late may receive a shortened session so that subsequent appointments are not affected.

Where a client has not attended or made contact within 15 minutes of the scheduled appointment time, Natural Healing Center may treat the appointment as a no-show.

Where mandatory consumer law gives the client additional cancellation or withdrawal rights, those statutory rights will apply.

6. Complementary Healthcare and Medical Disclaimer

Traditional Chinese Medicine is provided as a complementary approach to health and wellbeing.

Traditional Chinese Medicine pattern assessment and differentiation is not presented as a substitute for conventional medical diagnosis.

Natural Healing Center® does not claim that Traditional Chinese Medicine, acupuncture, Chinese herbal medicine, Medical Qi Gong, acupressure or related complementary approaches cure medical diseases.

These services are intended to support health and wellbeing within the scope of Traditional Chinese Medicine and the practitioner's training and competence.

Clients should continue to seek appropriate conventional medical care and should not stop, reduce or change prescribed medication or medically recommended treatment without consulting the healthcare professional responsible for that treatment.

Clients should inform the practitioner of:

  • relevant medical conditions and diagnoses;

  • current symptoms;

  • prescribed and non-prescribed medications;

  • supplements and herbal products;

  • allergies and known sensitivities;

  • pregnancy or possible pregnancy;

  • significant changes in health;

  • planned medical procedures or investigations; and

  • any adverse or unexpected reaction associated with treatment or herbal products.

Chinese herbal recommendations may not be appropriate for every person. Relevant medication, medical history, pregnancy status, allergies and other safety considerations should therefore be disclosed before herbal products are recommended.

Where appropriate, the practitioner may recommend that a client obtains medical assessment or approval before commencing or continuing a complementary treatment.

Urgent and Emergency Symptoms

Natural Healing Center® does not provide an emergency medical service.

Online consultations, email and other electronic communications must not be used instead of emergency medical care.

If a client develops severe, sudden or potentially life-threatening symptoms, they should contact the appropriate emergency medical service or seek urgent medical assessment in the country where they are located.

7. Client Responsibilities

Clients are responsible for providing complete and accurate information relevant to their consultation and informing the practitioner when that information changes.

The effectiveness and suitability of complementary services can be affected by medical conditions, medication, lifestyle, adherence to recommendations and other individual circumstances.

No particular clinical result or outcome can be guaranteed.

8. Chinese Herbal Medicine

Where Chinese herbal medicine is recommended, the recommendation is based on the individual Traditional Chinese Medicine assessment and information available to the practitioner at the time.

Clients should take herbal products only according to the instructions provided.

Clients should inform Natural Healing Center promptly of any unexpected or concerning reaction.

Where appropriate, herbal recommendations may be modified, paused or discontinued.

Chinese herbal medicine should not be regarded as a substitute for necessary medical investigation or treatment.

9. Professional Boundaries and Referral

Natural Healing Center® provides services only within the practitioner's education, training and professional competence.

Where a client's presentation appears to require assessment or treatment outside that scope, the practitioner may recommend referral to a doctor, pharmacist, emergency service or other appropriate healthcare professional.

A complementary consultation may be postponed or discontinued where medical assessment is considered necessary.

Nothing in these Terms affects mandatory consumer rights available to a client under applicable law.

13. Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions are governed by Icelandic law.

Where a client resides in another country, mandatory consumer-protection rights or other mandatory legal protections applicable to that client may also apply and are not excluded by these Terms.
